This refrigerator is a bit noisy. Compared to my dishwasher, for example, I hear the frig running constantly, while I barely hear my dishwasher. This frig is quite a bit louder than my previous frig whose name starts with an L. But that frig failed after 8 years, which I guess is good in this day.

I've had this fridge/freezer for about a month now and there are a few things I'm not pleased about. Everything feels jammed in. I have less than I had in the old fridge but I feel like I can't see everything. I've had to buy baskets to help organize food especially in the freezer. If you put the fridge in a place where it is surrounded, you won't be able to open the doors fully. If something gets lost down the back, which it already has, you have to pull the fridge out to open the door fully to pull out the crisper drawer to get what we fell. I'm honestly considering returning it.

Exactly what I was looking for. My kitchen space for a refrigerator is width-limited by a counter and pantry wall, and also cabinets for height. Plus, I have no need for a huge unit, or ice maker or water dispenser (which take up tons of freezer space). It looks stylish with sleek, clean lines. Variable shelf heights, well lit. I've kept the cooling temps from the factory settings with no issues. I would prefer if this model had built-in stability pads but I improvised with felt furniture pads.

Mold issues

I bought this refrigerator 40 days ago for my parents, who are over 80 years old. Everything works perfectly, but now traces of mold appeared on the doors and the distributor says that this problem isn't covered under warranty. How is that possible? My parents are very excited about the convenience of the new fridge, but disappointed by the mold problem and the fact that they can't at least replace the doors while it's under warranty. Very disappointed.

Cooling - works well; lighting is sufficient; organization is good. I wish this refridgerator was not so loud. I wish that the freezer side was wider, and the refridgerator side could be smaller and still serve me well. I chose this model because it fit into the tight space I have for it.

We like the refrigerator for keeping the food cold and frozen, however, it has a very loud vibration that is very annoying. If it weren't for this distracting noise we would give the fridge 5 stars instead of 3. That's how annoying and loud of a vibration that is occurring with this refridgerator.

The refrigerator cools nicely and is nice looking. The complaint I have is that the refrigerator part SHOULD have the small crisper drawer/shelf which many do, all of my past refrigerator have had this feature . I tried to buy one after the unit was delivered but was told that one is not available for this style. This leaves a very large space between shelves limiting amount of storage.

Shelving (number and ability to adjust to ideal location) is disappointing. Also lacks meat drawer. Vegetable and fruit bins are more spacious than is our previous slightly larger refrigerator. Freezer area quite narrow and needs another shelf so can pack things in tighter. Like that this does NOT have water and icemaking features Leaving more usable space.

Excellent side by side fridge. My only slightly negative point is there's a lot of extra space at the top of the freezer section where I think another shelf could easily be fitted in.

Drawers are terrible and never stay in place and jam all the time. Worst of all it does not keep a constant temperature. It's either way too warm or freezes everything solid and it fluctuates without me even changing the settings. Never buying a whirlpool fridge or appliance again based on this experience.

I've only had this refrigerator a week, so these are my initial Impressions and what I've had to deal with so far. I have found that the shelving and space and how everything is laid out is really flexible and the pockets in the doors are nice and deep. The front of it cleans up really easy, I use the stainless steel wipe cloths that come in a canister. I've had to obviously adjust the temperature in both the refrigerator and the freezer side. Having the refrigerator set on the ideal setting as it's marked was freezing my vegetables so I said it one lower and it's at about 32° and it seems fine.

So happy I replaced my older model with ice and water and gained essential freezer space. The first 12 hours were noisy but now it™™s humming softly. Inside it™™s spacious and bright.

This is the first side by side refrigerator we ever purchased and we're very happy with it. The space we had for a new refrigerator was limited due to the configuration of the cabinets in our kitchen, and this model provides us with lots of useable space in both the freezer and refrigerator sections. And it looks great too!

I like the side/by/side as the previous fridge I had had the drawer at the bottom which was less convenient than the side freezer which I now have

Good features, easy set up. However, it is necessary to check the arc of the door openings. To access the lower shelves, the door need to open more than 110 degrees.

I had the Kitchen Aid 22 cu. ft. version of this Side-by-Side Refrigerator for 15 years and it was great. Unfortunately when it was time for a new one, the Kitchen Aid 22 cu. ft. Side-By-Side was no longer available. I purchased the Whirlpool version and am very disappointed. The things missing from the Whirlpool version that I had in the Kitchen Aid version are as follows: (1) two less freezer shelves; I had to purchase two additional shelves for the Whirlpool; (2) no Deli Drawer and nothing to retrofit; I have to use a Tupperware container for my deli items (see photo); (3) less shelf adjustment slots on the refrigerator side of the Whirlpool; (4) no humidity adjustments for the Meat Drawer for use with vegetables as on the Kitchen Aid; only has humidity adjustments on the fruit drawer; (5) the hinges of the Whirlpool are not enclosed; there are open nooks and crannies all around the hinges and frames that will collect dust (see photo); all the hinges and frames were sealed on the Kitchen Aid; (6) the front grill has to be unscrewed for cleaning the coils (a nuisance); the Kitchen Aid grill snapped on and off. All in all, this Whirlpool version of the 22 cu. ft. Side-By-Side is a huge disappointment. I am limited to a refrigerator that fits in a 35" x 67.5" opening and the Whirlpool 22 cu. ft. Side-By-Side was the only available option. I did not want a top freezer model and would have purchased the Kitchen Aid version of the 22 cu. in. Side-By-Side had it been available. The refinements in the Kitchen Aid version are sadly missing in this Whirlpool version.

Poor deli drawer design. New refrigerator - deli drawer fell off track and jammed. Went to store and the let us try the floor model deli drawer. It fell off track and jammed. Store scheduled repair service. Drawer jammed for them. They agreed defective. Ordered 2nd new refrigerator. At delivery, in street, tested deli drawer and it fell off track. Went back to store and replaced with Frigidaire.

I bought this refrigerator a month ago directly from Whirlpool and I am very sorry. It is a terrible product. IT IS LOUD. It makes a loud whirring noise when it is not making a loud humming noise. It's BRAND NEW. The shelving on the fridge.doors has sharp hard plastic corners (not rounded edges) and I have I injured myself a few times on them. I had a Whirlpool tech make a service call and he left without fixing anything. ITS A PIECE OF JUNK. ITS A SAFETY HAZARD. I want my money back.

One of the only models that fits in my space. Love the side by side feature. Glass shelves with under shelf lighting is good idea. My last Whirlpool fridge ran for 27 years. My parents™™ Whirlpools, bought in 1950 (so 75 years old) is still running strong and is my overflow, backup fridge. I™™m sold on Whirlpools!

Bought about 2 months ago. Very happy with our purchase. Initially we wanted double doors with a bottom freezer but were unable to find the right size. We love the side by side, especially the freezer. Things are much easier to find and access than a bottom freezer, which we had previously.

I am satisfied with the overall function and look of this Refrigerator. I do find that the bins feel a little flimsy and may not stand up well to heavier usage by a family. I miss the third drawer in the fridge section which I enjoyed in my previous refrigerator.
