Purchased a Bosch kitchen for our newly built cabin, wanted a gas stove and appliances that fit in a small space but fitting my needs as a chef.. stove came in damaged but wasn't aware until after installation by contractors.. scratches easy , oven doesn't light immediately, it takes several tries to ignite.. already g had serviced by warranty... for the price extremely disappointed

My Wife loves the looks of this stove and I appreciate the quality build. There are no gimmicks to this stove. There's a timer/clock/convection oven fan control on the panel and that's it. There are knobs to control the burners and oven. I appreciate a straightforward control panel.

I have literally used the oven less than a dozen times and it stopped heating properly. It took 2 weeks to get a repairman here. He said it is an issue with the computer and it had to have another chip and it will be at least a 10 days to 2 weeks to get the part....... I do like the look and the gas burners but goodness gracious....... this oven was not inexpensive.....

I LOVE this stove - can't say enough about it! The front shelf that covers the knobs is great. Baking with the stove is amazing - took a little bit to adjust to the efficiency of the baking. The no skid grates are fabulous - makes cooking easy!

We've been without an oven for months because of a combination of seemingly poor quality control on the oven as well as technician and part shortages.
The oven worked fine at first (although doesn't show the actual temp anywhere when using it, which is a terrible design choice IMO). However, it started getting noisy when using it, to the point that clearly something was broken. It also started to have trouble lighting at all around the same time.
First, it took a while to get a technician out. The technician was great and seemed to diagnose the issues (broken fan AND broken thermocouple on the oven), but then told us it would be over a month to get replacement parts. It's been about that long, and I've heard nothing. So basically due to 2 different part failures, we've been ovenless for months now and have no idea when we'll have a working one again.
On the positive side, the burners are great - enough power on the main burner and enough control on the smaller ones. And the auto-shutoff if not ignited is a must have safety feature.

Love the look of this range, the simplicity of the knobs placement is great. Most other range's have the knobs on the top where there easily getting spattered. The grate's are heavier than others I've looked at, the removal to clean them is much easier and the fit is much better. Oven settings are accurate with the baking I've done. Cleaning under is easy because of the feet.

The Range is beautiful, howver it is not user friendly. The oven does not display the temperture you set in the small digital window. Also the numbers to set the oven temp are 250 300 350 400 450 500. There are no increments smaller that that so If you needed to set the oven to 275 you would hve to guess that it reached the correct temperature. This is very frustrating. Also I would have expected for the price to get a broiler pan or the griddle. I also do not think it cooks evenly . I am so sad I spent so much money on this stove and am now stuck with this. It looks good but for the money it is derinelty not worth it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bosch makes a great product. We had a difficult situation in that the unit could not be more than 47" deep. Bosch came to the rescue. No other make came close. We are tremendously pleased with fit and the functions.

This is our first Bosch has stove and it has been awesome. Our old range was electric and nothing compares to a gas stove. It cooks evenly and much faster and it is energy efficient. Would definitely recommend Bosh products. It goes well with our microwave and dishwasher.

First the good: Great looking appliance; stove burners work great and there is a lot of room for pots and pans on the burners.
Now the bad: I think this is the dumbest appliance I have owned in the last 20 years. With all the technology now available, this oven does not show you what temp you are at or the amount of time left on the timer which is important if you are timing your other foods to be done when your baking is finished. I can see the timer if I press the clock button but it goes back to time of day in a few seconds. Seriously Bosch, how hard would it be to just let us know what the oven temp is or how much time is left on the timer? I would have never have bought this range if I had been able to demo it while connected to power. Dumb!

I waited for a new kitchen for a LONG time. So happy that I was rewarded with a beauty. This range is so professional looking. It's the first thing everyone notices in my new domain! It is so sturdy. Not your average range by a long shot! The 5 burners take care of your every need. The stove and oven have such even heat. I have a friend who is buying one as well. get it, you'll be so happy.

Very smart looking range with large handles. Easy to keep clean and cooking is a breeze. One problem the temperature of the oven does not show it heating up. You must listen to the beep to know that it has reached it temperature. I would be nice to see the temperature displayed. The only thing that is displayed is the time.

We replaced an italian manufactured range that we thought was a good deal, but never worked correctly. Bosch came highly recommended and we loved the look and size of the oven (can certainly take a big bird for the holidays). Love the fact that it signals you when the oven reaches desired temperature AND the automatic fan to aid in cool-down. Also never expected to get 5 burners in a 30" range. Queue the applause!

Just got our new stove and it's looks great! Very powerful, be care of your pots and pans. Must be maintained a lot if you don't like to see oil and water spots since it stainless steel. The oven works wonderfully too.

I have only had this range for a few months. So far I love it. Simple, straighforward, works great. I have one small tweak I would make. I use a moka pot to make coffee every day and it just barely fits at the ends og the grate on the range top. A quarter inch extra would make a huge difference.

Very attractive range, I like the size choice of burners. The reading of temps. on the knobs difficult to read. More use should have been made of the digital display and not rely on the naked eye or ear, to listen for beeps when it achieves its desired temp. First time used, a knob popped-off and dropped onto the floor. I was able to replace it (hope this is a one-time deficiency).

It took me a few trys to get the stove top to stay ignited, but now I love it. It's easy to clean and I love the knobs below. I've needed to let the oven preheat a few minutes extra in order for the whole oven to heat up, but it seems to preheat quickly.

I really enjoy the classic freestanding look of this Bosch unit. Install was fast, quick and easy.
The unit lacks any sort of BTU power in the broiler function. It can take forever to broil anything and it is essential to turn on the broiler well in advance. The broiler layout is very small and therefore under-powered.
As for the stovetop itself, the caps instantly dis-colored after first use. The burners are not sealed.
There is the one center burner that has ample power BUT....while it should be in the front and to the left (to protect the overhead microwave components from heat), it actually is placed where the electronics are exposed to intense heat.
The unit has minimal electronics (which is good) so technology doesn't interefer with a good working oven/range. It does for reasons unknown, have a clock??? No temperature indicator but a clock...
It's priced about $1000 too much for the minimal quality you get out of it.
It's mostly Made In Italy and while Bosch used to be a top-of-the-line appliance builder, they no longer are. My understanding is that they were sold to Siemens/Thermador.

I own all Bosch benchmark appliances and decided to buy this range too.
I cannot believe how poorly designed it is, key issues:
* Firstly, the oven is very hard to light. You have to hold the knob and rotate and hope it lights -- there is NO WAY of knowing the oven is lit without opening the door and looking in a little hole to see if a flame is there. I regularly turn the oven on and then 15 minutes later when I want to use it, it's off! ridiculous.
* The oven interior is impossible to clean. My idiot younger brother decided to cook a pasta bake that splattered everywhere. The food is baked on the interior and glass and nothing will remove it. There is no self cleaning mode and the instruction manual just claims it magically cleans itself. It doesn't. Turning it to 500 for 60+ minutes doesn't help either.
* Similarly the gas top is really hard to clean -- You can disassemble the burners but you end up with gross food caked into the interior of the alumnium burners.
* The oven has NO features. It doesn't even tell you what temperature the oven is at. When you set the range to a temperature it simply beeps once to alert you. There is no self cleaning, no "time to cook", no modes, nothing. I do not understand why this range has substantially fewer features than the lower priced 800-series slide in range.
* The cooling fans of the range stay on FOREVER after using it. Expect fan noise for 30+ minutes after you've turned your oven off.
* There's also no way to tell if the oven or the burners are running -- there are no LEDs or anything -- this, combined with the inability to start the oven, the burners constantly going out, and the cooling fans staying on forever (so it sounds like the oven is running) drives you crazy as you have zero clue what the range is doing.
* It doesn't even come with a slide out rail, you have to pay extra for that.
* Two of my burners constantly go out when on a low flame.
In the ranges defense... when it actually works it generates a lot of heat. Absurdly poor oven for $3300+ though. I wish I could return it.

We were excited about this new range, love the look and simplicity, and we're happy with the way it cooks, but have had a really difficult time getting the burners and oven to light reliably. I've had tons of experience with many gas stoves over the years including professional-type ranges - I've never ever seen a stove or oven that's actually hard to get lit and stay lit. This is a real problem. The BOSCH repair person said it is because the thermocouple overrides the lit burner until you try multiple times to light it and suggested holding the lighters down 15-20 seconds to get it to light (I've been trying up to 10 seconds in the 4+ months since delivery and it still doesn't reliably light stay lit). He said this is the intended design and nothing is wrong. This seems absurd, this model is a huge problem - don't buy it!

We are hosting a large get together at our home for Thanksgiving Our KitchenAid range stopped working after five years. After much research I purchased this Bosch range on October 9th from Best Buy. Soon after getting it installed, we found that the oven did not work. We called Bush's service department and were given the name of a local service company that would come out to take care of it right away. Quickly discovered that they gave us the wrong service company and directed us to another one. The second service company told us they were booked up and wouldn't be able to get out to us until November 2nd. This wasn't much concern for us because Thanksgiving was still three weeks away and we felt assured the problem would be resolved long before Thanksgiving. the service man worked on the range for over 2 hours and determined that the thermostat and the dial to the oven needed to be replaced. He told us they would order the parts and hopefully be able to get back within two weeks to fix it. Finally, we got a call that they'd be out on November 22nd to replace the parts. On the 22nd the service man completely dismantled the range in my kitchen and after three hours determined that it couldn't be repaired and probably would have to be replaced. That was three days before Thanksgiving. now one day before Thanksgiving I'm being told that Bosch wants the service company to come out again and try another round of repairing. Now we're backed up to December 1st. At this stage I can only hope that Bosch we'll get this thing fixed before we have the same problem at Christmas.

The range I wanted was on indefinite backorder and not being sold anymore. This was the only option available and I was hesitant to update, but I am certainly glad I did! It is simple and elegant. Easy to clean and care. Is it missing bells and whistles like many of the options out there? Yes. But I don't miss them. Bottom line, I bought this to cook at a higher quality. And I am pleased with the results.

Bought this brand new range that we were very excited for and the oven burner doesn't stay on longer than 10-15 seconds of turning it on. Seems like it will be weeks before we can have someone repair it under warranty. Not sure why a supposedly reputable company like Bosch would charge so much for something that is unreliable. I only write 'unreliable' as I read that I am not the only one with this issue. Giving 2 stars instead of 1, as our cooktop burners work at least.

My contractor selected this Bosch 800 series suite for our kitchen renovation.
This was our first major home reno and we foolishly didn't know we could choose our own appliances. Half our fault. Half contractor who failed to offer that option. Had he done so, we would have saved $4000 -- More importantly, we'd have gained appliances more fitting to our lifestyle.
The range was defective upon installation -- one burner did not work.
Repairman came, ordered needed part, came back, fixed defective burner, then two other burners became inoperable. Repairman ordered 2nd part. He came again when part delivered. Part was broken. 3rd part ordered, awaiting arrival.
The microwave and range of this Bosch 800 Series suite are user unfriendly for people who like us -- older and preferring simplicity. For instance, a range that lights immediately and stays lit.
The Bosch 800 range requires us to turn the knob, push it in and hold for about 6-10 seconds. My former range did not spark and sputter -- something that's "normal" according to the Bosch User Manual. One of our Bosch 800 burners sometimes turn off by itself – for no reason.
The Bosch 800 series microwave is worse. Our former microwave had a simple selection panel: popcorn, baked potato, reheats, defrost, etc. Not the Bosch, whose selection panel is unfamiliar – like a foreign language and requires consulting the manual. Required study of a manual for anyone of normal intelligence who has used microwave ovens for decades, is, well… it's not simplicity.
The fridge and dishwasher in this series is fine. But peeps -- you don't need these fancy, overpriced, over-complicated appliances. Do your homework and save money and time.

Love the look of this oven. There's nothing similar like it. The oven cooks evenly and the large glass door offers great visibility. There knobs on the front look great but you have too stoop low to see the dial settings and the lettering is very difficult to see. We had to replace the oven igniter almost immediately and it has broken again which makes twice in less than a year. This was my dream range and I'm really, really disappointed.

I bought this without any reviews and on just how it looked at the store. I loved the clean lines and vintage look. I did read the reviews and had some concerns but I've had no issues what so ever. It is pretty basic with knobs and no electronic displays. I use a oven theromoter and I just know how long it takes to preheat. I love that the robot vacuum can go under it to clean. The burners work well on heat distrubution. I had another gas brand and it was always hard to simmer without scortching. The gas burners work like a dream. I love this range so much.

It took a long time to save up for this stove, but it finally happened. The look and style fits my kitchen perfectly. The burners are great and have not had any problems learning to light them properly. I've used the oven only twice so far because of the excessive heat were are experiencing this July. I have made peanut butter cookies, brownies, cream puffs and a new apple dessert. I'm still learning to set the temperature for the oven, manually, not with a digital panel. This won't take long once the weather gets cooler, my grandsons miss grandma's weekly desserts.

Top burners and over performs well. However during preheat and cool down of oven there is a loud rattling noise from the cooling fan system. They have attempted to repair under the warranty several times but can't resolve the issue. Waiting for another replacement part to be installed. Fourth service call on a new product. Not sure if it is a manufacturing or design issue.

Overall very pleased. Looks and functions great. Be aware that when oven is on, cooling fan runs. It is quiet, but as oven is colling down after being turned off, the cooling fan starts to vibrate loudly. Had technicians to the house 2x already - they were great, but were a little suprised at how loud the noise from the vibration is. After 2 visits, they eventually put 2 self-tapping screws into the back to secure some sheet metal, which stopped the sound, BUT, it resulted in the oven making loud creaking noises now as it cools because the metal is no longer free to expand/contract. This would be minor annoyance on a $700 stove, but when you spend 3300, it is VERY hard to ignore. Know what I mean? Have to say though, technical - service people were amazing.

Fan goes on once the oven heats up and continues for awhile.
The oven timer doesnt turn off the oven it just makes a sound.
The broiler really doesnt broil the food its small and narrow.

I like the look of this oven, but the oven never worked at all upon install. It lights and then shuts off. The broiler works but isn't very hot. Sadly, I would avoid this model. A prior Bosch I had used was much better than this.

This is an awesome range. Works as it should. Not a single usage issue to mention.
I do warn to make sure you know where your gas and electric service needs to be. The electrical plug sticks out about 3 inches and will not allow you to push the range all the way in if you didn't place the outlet in the right place. The same goes for the gas service. There is room on the sides of the back of the range to fit these in but if you services are not in line with these pockets, you will not be able to push the range in all the way.
Otherwise the range works great!

This is the nicest range we've owned and would highly recommend it. Oven warms up very fast and holds temperature perfectly. The large glass door makes it easy to see the entire inside of the oven. Stove burners are very efficient, heating pans quickly and evenly. Overall, this range is high quality and great to cook with. A huge plus, it is exceptionally easy to clean, much easier than any range we have owned. We have made several large holiday meals for guests and waited until the next day to clean the surfaces and all the surfaces cleaned up with no effort, including the normally troublesome areas right next to the burners. Only thing we wish it had was an oven temperature readout, but we have a small calibrated thermometer for precise temp readings hanging from a rack that works fine so not a big deal.
