Defective product!

I bought this ice machine 4 months ago. It stopped working after 1 month due to a defective control unit. Electrolux says they do not have a new part as a replacement. All of the ice melted in the bin.

Installed, turned on and it produced great ice for about a week....then it never turned on again. all the ice melted and now I am in warranty land. At this point is has been three weeks since I tried to get help.

Showed up Broken!

This ice maker didn™™t work from the day it was installed. Rather than replacing the unit, Electrolux insisted they repair it. A new control board, a new pump drain and a month later, it finally works! Like the ice shale, but that™™s about the only nice thing I can say about this experience.

Within two or three months of installation a circuitboard went out and it has been down for over three weeks awaiting being fixed. You know it would turn off after about eight seconds of resetting.Faulty product.

This unit is a replacement, it was installed on I™™m a bit disappointed on 11/2/17 the machine was installed and yesterday 11/22/17 I had to place a service call as it completely stopped working, no power, nothing. Checked breakers...no luck. I live in a brand new home, no power surges, no 100 yr old wiring.

Love the Ice, Hate the Unit

Our ice-maker was included in a new home purchase. When we did our final walk through of the home, the ice-maker was working, but on the day of our move in, it was not working. The pump had to be replaced - it has worked since then up to about 2 weeks ago (worked for about 4-months). Two weeks ago, the pump went out again - hopefully we don't have to have this unit repaired every 4 months. In speaking with other homeowners in our area that also have the same unit, it appears this is a common problem with this ice-maker. Even the repair guy said they get a lot of calls for our same issue. When the ice maker is working, it is noisy with its loud humming and periodic clicking - it took some getting used to. I love the idea of the ice-maker and having the fresh ice made constantly, but this unit can use some improvement.

Our experience started off a little rough but ended well. We did a remodel at our summer home late fall and the ice machine was back ordered. When it did finally arrive, we had it installed but never fired it up because by that time we were closing for the season. Fast forward to the spring. Powered it up, water supply attached and she was making ice nicely. Then the door alarm started going off! We opened and shut the door, checked the level of the unit, checked the "gap", powered on and off to reset but all to no avail. Put in a service call and they sent someone promptly. The technician could find nothing wrong. But while we were there, the alarm would continue to sound. My husband was talking to the store owner who we purchased from and he mentioned about the magnetic strip on the lower panel of the door. My husband took a look at it and sure enough, it was not lined up properly. He re-seated the tape strip and voila! No more alarm.So far we are very happy with our machine. It is early in the season but it seems like it will make plenty of ice for coolers and drinks.
