I purchase 2, so need to switch one of the door to another side. The instruction/diagram about the switching is not details enough where 2-3 steps have to go through try/error, but eventually work out.

really happy with buying two of them to have all freezer and all fridge.
plenty of space and much better than my ge fridge with limited freezer space.
othe reviews indicate that the holes fto reverse the door are not available. this is incorrect. a thin layer of plastic covers them, using a drill with low torque, you can easily pass them using the screws.
they are very quite, i'm working next to them.

I bought this upright freezer in November along with a FoodSaver. It's farmers market time in Florida and thought with the increase in food prices I would start cooking more at home. I couldn't be happier with the size and ease of use. Fits a lot more than it looks like it would while only taking up a small footprint in my laundry room.

This freezer is the perfect appliance. I have had it for a few months now and I could not be happier with it. It keeps everything super cold and because of its tall and narrow profile, all items are easy to access and it takes up very little floor space. Plus, it looks great! Great product, Samsung!

Bought this for the specific purpose of being able to hold overflow of food being brought to us whilst dealing with upcoming surgery and subsequent recovery. Preferred vertical freezer over chest freezer both for ease of access to food and smallest footprint. This freezer was perfect in both respects. It is frost-free and EnergyStar rated, which are two other criteria I wanted in a freezer.
Installation went fairly well, though the leveling was a little more difficult than it should be, in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the freezer brought the temperature down to the set temperature - did not need nearly the time specified in the manual. Also, even though this freezer is in my basement, I did not want to listen to a lot of noise and the freezer delivers - could not even hear it 10 ft away.
Bottom line - this freezer cost more than I wanted to spend but the vertical type and the small footprint were my top two criteria. It was far less expensive than other freezers meeting this criteria. So far it has worked great and I really like it. Plus, I also have the option, once the additional freezer space is no longer required, of switching to refrigerator mode and using it for storing drinks and snacks. Would I buy it again? Hell, yeah!

When we were in the market for an upright frost-free freezer, we had not seen anything like this one, especially having dual capabilities. It fits perfectly in our basement and is working great! The price point was very comparable and ultimately better than the competition!

I bought this freezer 6 months ago. Had to reset by unplugging for at least 6 hours, because it's set at sub zero, 50 hrs fan time then needs to be reset.. overall I am very pleased with it.

This freezer has come in handy so much! Not only is it gorgeous looking and blends in so well with our stainless steel appliances in our kitchen! It also keeps food extremely cold! I love having ice cream and popsicles in the freezer without worrying if they are thawing or getting freezer burn. I bought two units - one as a freezer and the other as a refrigerator. Moved the handle so that they are close to each other. Looks like a full unit. Holds much more than I expected. Picture does not do justice to unit (no dents or scratches) .. just glare from camera.

I had initially looked at buying a small chest freezer, but decided the upright with shelves would be a much wiser setup considering that in a chest, something would always end up on the bottom. I love the multiple drawers to divide types of frozen food. and the top shelves are easy to reach. I did not realize the appliance was convertible (can be used as a refrigerator or freezer), but that is definitely a plus!

i wanted and am using as a fridge-only. though i just received it, this convertible fridge freezer is so far perfect. i waited while it was backordered and am glad i did! no more noisy annoyances from my old unit! it holds as much as my 12+ cf fridge did, just less door holder space. best for me, its so quiet, barely know it's running- so much nicer than my last two or three other model fridges. great value, looks nice. will update as time goes on.

i bought a new freezer and experienced a significant issue that caused allthe foodto thaw out. i was very upset and lost alot of food. originally. i gave this a 1 star but have upgraded to a 4 star because of samsung care. they got a service call dispatched. they replace a faulty main board and it's been working great ever since. i was upset i lost money on the spoiled food but was very happy that samsung stood behind their products. they fixed freezer in timely matter and compensated me for the lost food. integrity is key and they made right for reimbursing me for lost food. i recommend this product.

had my new freezer delivered july 14. 2 weeks later, i noticed all ice cream was melted to liquid firm. freezer light on and temperature showed 0 degrees. all fish and meets were completely thawed as well. tried lowering temperature to below 0 but would not allow me to change. i unplugged and plugged back in and temperature reading was 37 degrees a few seconds later. service came and had to change mother/main board. feedback from repairman was that it was not working correctly and samsung installed wrong board. thats why it would only let him change temp tp -5 instead of the -15 as designed. still waiting for samsung to pay for spoiled/lost food. disappointed in them not reimbursing me for careless workmanship. frustrated and waiting for my lost money….

i am very pleased with my upright freezer, however this is the second samsung appliance i have bought in the last few months in which the "packaging" is less than ideal. a sticker with bar code, s/n, etc was applied to the lower section of the side. it was nearly impossible to remove. i have a bad back and it was about 6" off the floor. i had to use wd40 and a scraper to get it off. something like this should peel off easily. on my refrigerator i still have bits of plastic around my doors where the covering cannot be removed. we had to remove the handles to get the protective covering off there. the fridge is very nice looking except for the plastic sticks out. something needs to be addressed with these 2 issues when the appliance is delivered.

i purchased two of these units to fill a space in my kitchen, and for the price, they were intended to be a showpiece at a bargain. i consider myself pretty mechanically savvy. changing the door orientation on one unit was a task. it's important to note the bottom of the fridge as shown in other reviews does no come with the holes in the plastic as one would think. you have to melt the plastic with a simple trick of heating up a small phillips head screw driver to expose the threaded holes underneath. that one step could cause you concern, but they are threaded underneath, so you can reverse the doors, and be careful taking it apart, its easy to break, or damage. if you can assemble $50.00 legos you can do it, or have your 14yr old do it, ps it has a usb for some reason.

We bought a fridge/freezer for overflow from our kitchen fridge. We liked the idea it could go from chilling to freezing. In fact, we like it so much we bought a second. If I had space in my kitchen, I would definitely switch my kitchen fridge to the laundry room and keep the twins in the kitchen. The only downside is not being able to adjust shelves/drawers. And the skinny little shelf holder on the door is cracked. I definitely recommend these.
Oh, and when companies start offering more variety in colors (Japan has been doing this for years), it would be a bonus.

That's the one thing I bought from Samsung that didn't take too long to come. I love this appliance. The kick for me is the fact that it can be both freezer or refrigerator depends on the need.
